How to Book Tickets

Tickets can only be booked online. We will update this page when tickets go on sale.

We are unable to offer a telephone or in-person booking service for this year’s performances.

All bookings must be made in advance. There will be no onsite box office facility on performance nights.

Physical tickets will not be issued for this year’s performances. Instead, please present your e-ticket on your phone or tablet on the night - or print your e-ticket if necessary. If none of these options are possible, then please make sure you have a note of your booking reference when arriving for the performance.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING YOUR BOOKING, PLEASE CONTACT OUR BOX OFFICE PROVIDER BY EMAILING SALES@CITZ.CO.UK

How do I get there?

All performances take place in Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens, 730 Great Western Road, Glasgow, G12 0UE.

What time can I arrive for the performance?

All outdoor performances start at 7.45p.m. The performance space will be open to ticket holders from 7.15p.m. onwards.

All performances in the Kibble Palace Glasshouse start at 8p.m. The venue will open to ticket holders shortly before the performance is due to commence.

What do I need to bring?

Please ensure you have a copy of your booking confirmation email or booking reference number with you to act as your ticket. This does not need to be a physical copy - we can view it on a phone or other mobile device.

Seating is not provided for our outdoor performances. Audience members are welcome to bring their own seating to these performances. Alternatively, stools will be available to hire for £1 each - cash only.

Seating is provided for performances in the Kibble Palace.

Scottish weather can be unpredictable so wear or bring appropriate clothing for an outdoor performance – waterproof jackets and umbrellas are encouraged. Even the warmest day cools down as the evening progresses, so it’s always a good idea to bring additional layers.

Remember that midges can be a real curse of the Scottish summer so come prepared!

Feel free to bring along a picnic to enjoy at any of our performances. Just remember that drinking alcohol is not permitted in public spaces in Glasgow – and please dispose of any rubbish safely.

What happens if a performance is cancelled?

Inclement weather conditions – e.g. heavy and / or sustained rainfall – may force us to cancel a performance. In these circumstances, our website home page, social media channels and answerphone message will be updated accordingly at 6.45p.m. (We do not have the facilities or staff to contact all ticket holders directly in the event of cancellation so, if you suspect a performance may have to be cancelled, please do check one or more of the channels mentioned above)

We are unable to make a decision earlier in the day due to the variable nature of Scottish weather - making a decision at 6.45p.m. gives the performance the best chance of proceeding. Decisions will be taken based on the most recent satellite information regarding current and predicted rainfall. A decision to cancel will only be taken if we feel that the safety of our performers and audience would be compromised by proceeding.

Although we endeavour to make cancellations in advance, please note that sudden changes in weather conditions may require a performance to be cancelled after this time or at any point during the evening.

If a performance is cancelled before its advertised start time or within the first hour of the performance, ticket holders are entitled to swap their booking for another performance, subject to availability, or obtain a full refund.

If a performance has to be cancelled after an hour or more of performance, ticket holders are no longer entitled to a refund but may swap their booking for another performance, subject to availability.

To swap a booking for another night or to request a refund, please email our box office on sales@citz.co.uk

We reserve the right to cancel a performance due to other unforeseen circumstances.

Where can I park?

There is parking in the streets around the Botanic Gardens but please note that parking charges are now in place for most of the West End - audiences may wish to use public transport where possible. Please note that only the Main Gate of the Botanic Gardens (at the corner of Great Western Road and Queen Margaret Drive) will be available to exit the gardens at the end of a performance. The Kirklee Gate (the back gate to the Botanic Gardens) will not be open at the end of the performances.

Blue Badge Holders

Glasgow Botanic Gardens is fully accessible to Blue Badge holders. Please only bring your vehicle into the gardens if absolutely necessary.

If you need to bring your vehicle into the Botanic Gardens, enter via the gate on Queen Margaret Drive and proceed to the main path in front of the Main Range Glasshouse. A member of the Bard in the Botanics team will be available from 7.15pm on performance nights to direct you to a suitable parking space. If you have mobility issues and are not the driver of the vehicle, you may be driven to the performance space to exit the vehicle but be aware the vehicle will be directed to park a short distance away for the duration of the performance.

The speed limit in the Botanic Gardens is 5mph and you must display hazard lights while in motion. The Botanic Gardens are very busy with pedestrians so please take extra care.

Are dogs permitted at the performances?

Dogs are permitted at our outdoor performances, as long as they are kept on a leash and are well-behaved. We would ask that if the dog becomes restless and distracting to others, that you are willing to move away from other audience members.

What facilities are available?

Toilet facilities will be available for audience members before and during the performance.

Please note that currently refreshment facilities are not available in the Botanic Gardens for performances.
